Professional Profile

I trained in medicine at Cambridge and then Oxford Universities, and completed Junior Doctor training in London. My specialist training has given me extensive in-depth knowledge and skills in all aspects of Gastroenterology and Hepatology including advanced endoscopy. I spent a year as a clinical research fellow in Australia, and 3 years completing a PhD at Imperial College London. I have trained at major London teaching hospitals including Kings College Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital and Barts and the Royal London which has given me extensive subspecialty experience in hepato-pancreatico-biliary medicine, hepatology, and in particular ERCP.

I aim to deliver excellent care to my patients, using evidence-based practise combined with a wealth of experience, knowledge and skills I have acquired from my training.

Personal Profile

I am a family man with a keen interest in outdoor pursuits including hiking, cycling and skiing. I love playing and watching many sports, particularly tennis and cricket. I like to keep abreast of current affairs, and when I get the time (seems rare these days!) I enjoy going to the theatre and reading.
