Professional Profile

Mr Teo graduated in medicine from the University of Aberdeen in 1982, where he was awarded a distinction in anatomy and surgery. At Harvard University in Boston, USA, his post-doctoral thesis on burn injuries was awarded the Cash Medal for the best thesis. He initially trained for eight years in general surgery in the Aberdeen Hospitals, after which he completed another eight years of plastic surgery training in a number of centres including St Thomas' Hospital in London and The Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. In 1998 Mr Teo (or TC as he likes to be called) became a consultant at the Queen Victoria Hospital, where he performs a wide range of plastic surgery operations and trains many future plastic surgeons. He has a particular interest in surgical aesthetic rejuvenation of the face, breast and body as well as reconstructive surgery of the head and neck region, breasts, upper and lower limbs following trauma or disease. Hand surgery. Mole and Tattoo removal surgery. Scar revision. His philosophy is to place each patient's wellbeing at the centre of his care, from the first clinic meeting to the final aftercare. He will use his extensive experience and surgical skills to get the very best result for each and every patient.

He enjoys leisure pursuits include trekking, scuba diving, tennis and archery. He also enjoy contributing to educational meetings, documentaries and has appeared on Meridian TV, BBC World Service and Sky TV.
