Professional Profile
Mr Florian Drews is a qualified gynaecological oncology surgeon. He holds dual certification awarded by the Royal College Of Gynaecologists, as a specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and as a subspecialist in Gynaecological Oncology. In addition, he is an accredited Colposcopist with the British Society of Colposcopy.
Mr Drews commenced his training in gynaecological oncology in Leipzig, Germany. Following his move to the UK he underwent a training rotation for obstetrics and gynaecology in several hospitals in the East Midlands and Wales, including the Heath Hospital in Cardiff. Upon obtaining the RCOG’s CCT, he spent a year as a research fellow in the Swansea Gynaecological Oncology Centre, after which he pursued formal subspecialist training in Gynaecological Oncology in the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff.
He specialises in the diagnosis and surgical management of benign conditions, precancer and cancers of the female genital tract (ovary, womb, cervix, vulva and vagina). He is an expert in advanced keyhole surgery.
