Julie-Rose graduated from the University of Aberdeen medical school in 2006. It was during her general practice placement that she discovered her passion for community based medicine, which drove her to complete her GP training in 2011 in the west of Scotland region. She is highly experienced in all aspects of general practice but has special interests in women’s health, psychiatry and general medicine.
In 2012 Julie-Rose moved to Sydney Australia for her husband’s fellowship, where she worked in the Oncology unit in St George Hospital. During this placement she was involved in the care of oncology patients and developed an interest in Palliative care. Here she was able to further develop key communication skills which she has transferred to her work in general practice.
On returning to the United Kingdom she worked as a GP partner in a large practice in Aberdeen before moving with her family to Sussex. She now works as a GP in Worthing. She lives with her Urologist husband and three young children.
She enjoys Horse riding and running in her spare time, as well spending time with her family.
