Outpatient Nurse

Details…

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join the team working 32 hours per week within our busy Outpatient department.

Outpatients has 8 consulting rooms, 2 treatment rooms and a busy phlebotomy room. We are open from 8am-9pm Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings 8-2pm as required. We have on average 100-200 patients through the department per day. We work closely with the consultants in their clinics providing support, chaperoning any examinations and assisting with any minor procedures. We also have many patients attending for dressings/wound checks and coming to have blood taken.

What we are looking for;

  • Literacy and numeracy to an acceptable level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to be a good team player and act under direction as well as autonomously
  • Flexibility with shift/rota patterns
  • An ability to cope well in an extremely busy department.

Recovery Nurse

Exciting opportunities for a full time Recovery Nurse has arisen within the theatre department at The Montefiore Hospital. We are looking for experienced, motivated and enthusiastic nurses who have at least 12 months experience within a theatre environment.

The successful candidates will form part of our expanding team, and will be expected to provide and maintain a high quality service. We can offer support from a strong management team, the opportunity to work alongside expert clinicians, access to professional and personal development and experience within a dynamic working environment.

The successful applicant will hold the following:

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
  • Experience of orthopaedic and/or laparoscopic, general, urology, gynaecology and plastics procedures ideal.
  • ILS/ALS qualification desirable but not essential but willingness to undertake this training essential.
  • Flexibility with shift patterns, on call rota and weekend work is essential.

Endoscopy Nurse

Exciting opportunities for full time and part time Endoscopy Practitioners has arisen within the theatre department at The ‘CQC outstanding’ Montefiore Hospital. We are looking for an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Nurses/ODP who have at least 2 years’ experience within a endoscopy and theatre environment

The successful candidates will form part of our expanding team, and will be expected to provide and maintain a high quality service. We can offer support from a strong management team, the opportunity to work alongside expert clinicians, access to professional and personal development and experience within a dynamic working environment.

The successful applicant will hold the following:

  • Registered Nurse/ODP Diploma/Degree with current NMC/HPC registration
  • Extensive experience of endoscopy, AfPP and JAG standards essential.
  • Knowledge of Olympus endoscopes desirable.
  • Flexibility with shift patterns, on call rota and weekend work is essential.

The candidate must be able to demonstrate their enthusiasm and commitment to providing the best possible care for patients whilst leading by example with outstanding perioperative practice. You must be able to facilitate a working environment that is conducive to learning, knowledge of clinical governance, clinical audit and risk assessment, infection control and occupational health and safety.
