Liver Assessment Clinic

Comprehensive screening for liver disease

Our Liver Assessment Clinic is a private clinic for self-funding patients with liver health concerns run by our Consultant Gastroenterologist, Dr Khaleel Jamil.

Alcohol and non-alcohol related liver disease makes up a large proportion of the liver disease burden, and is underdiagnosed. If diagnosed early, lifestyle changes can be made to positively affect a patient's future care.

This clinic aims to offer you the highest standard of care by minimising your apprehension and providing an expert assessment, consultation and investigation in one appointment.

This will be followed by another consultation with the specialist to discuss your results and recommend your next steps going forward.

What does the clinic provide?

Our liver assessment clinic service includes:

  • An outpatient appointment and examination with out Consultant Gastroenterologist, Dr Khaleel Jamil
  • An ultrasound scan of the liver
  • A range of blood tests including a liver function test
  • A follow-up appointment at a later date with Dr Jamil to discuss your results (if required)

Do I need a referral?

We are happy to see patients without a referral from their GP.

What happens after?

During your follow-up consultation, further tests or treatments may be recommended depending on your individual needs.
