Public transport links

The hospital is within easy walking distance from Hove and Brighton train stations. Both stations are a 15 minute walk from the hospital. If this is too far to walk, both stations and the hospital are on the number 7 bus route, with a service every 8 minutes and a 6 minute journey time from the stations to the hospital. Both train stations also serve other main bus routes that connect with the whole city. Details of the timetable and services can be found here: www.buses.co.uk

Cycling

Hove and Brighton have an excellent cycling network. Much of the city is served by dedicated segregated cycle routes that are easily accessible from the hospital. The hospital is located on Montefiore Road, which is part of the city's designated quiet roads cycle route. Driving and Parking

  • From the A27, take the A2038 exit toward Hove/Devil's Dyke (0.2 miles). At the roundabout, take the fourth exit onto Dyke Road Ave (2.1 miles). Turn right onto Highdown Road (0.2 miles) and then turn left onto Montefiore Road. The Montefiore Hospital will be on the left.
  • From the A270 Hove (Westbound towards Worthing), head west on Old Shoreham Road/A270 toward Dyke Road (0.2 miles). Turn left onto Montefiore Road, and the Montefiore Hospital will be on the right.
  • From the A270 (Eastbound towards Brighton), head east on Old Shoreham Rd/A270 toward Underdown Road .Turn right onto Montefiore Road. The Montefiore Hospital will be on the right.

There is plenty of on street parking available within a short walking distance in the area. We have no on-site parking for patients. 

If you are being driven, we have a drop-off point outside our main entrance on Montefiore Road.

Please note there is a small car park attached to the hospital, but this is not for patient use. This car park is monitored by an external car parking company and any unauthorised vehicles (including patients) will be subject to a fixed penalty notice.
