Professional Profile

Appointed Consultant Radiologist subspecialising in cardio-thoracic imaging in 2008. During my specialist registrar training at Guys and St Thomas Hospital I spent one year at Royal Brompton Hospital before undertaking a one year fellowship at Papworth Hospital. This was followed by intensive cardiac CT training in Germany with Professor Achenback and finally a further dedicated cardiac MRI fellowship at Southampton University Hospital.

Shortly after being appointed as a Consultant, I developed innovative clinical services by introducing cardiac CT and cardiac MRI (including stress service) across the trust and also established the cardiac CT service at CICS Sussex University campus for research. This has enabled the provision of a high quality, non-invasive imaging service for cardiac patients in Chichester, Worthing and Brighton.

I have set up a successful cardiac CT education course presenting live case studies and attracting delegates. The course has now been running yearly for the last three years. I'm an active member of the Royal College of Radiology with an advisory role for cardiac imaging and have recently given lectures at both the Royal College of Radiology and the UK Radiology Congress. I continue to contribute to literature with recently published articles and am a Reviewer for the British Journal of Radiology.
