Professional profile
I am a highly experienced and accomplished consultant with a focus on respiratory medicine and general medicine.
With over 18 years of experience, I have provided exceptional care to patients facing complex respiratory and general/internal medicine conditions. My expertise is in diagnosis and treatment of Asthma, COPD and Breathlessness.
I led for years a specialist Airways Disease Service, looking after difficult to treat patients with asthma, COPD and breathlessness. The service saw over 1000+ patients per year, offering wide range of diagnostics with modern radiology, endoscopy and multidisciplinary support for the patients.
I continue to work at one of the world’s leading heart and lungs centre and undoubtedly Britain’s most famous lung hospital - the Royal Brompton Hospital in London, where I hold an honorary contract.
In my clinical practice I combines the experience of work in large teaching and University centres as well as local general hospitals, offering a breadth of knowledge and experience of respiratory and medical conditions. I specialise in asthma, breathlessness and COPD - underpinned by years of practice across the whole field of respiratory conditions and wider medicine.
I was one of the first consultants in the country to treat COVID patients. I led the pandemic response in my hospital in London, treated hundreds of severe cases at the front-line on the wards and in high dependency care, allowing me to acquire extensive clinical experience in management of acute COVID infection and post- COVID respiratory complications. I offer on spot spirometry in my clinic, to diagnose any lung related breathing problems as a quick and convenient diagnostic process.
Over the years I have treated thousands of patients with respiratory conditions. My specialist service saw in excess of 1000 per year and I treated over 1500 patients with COVID during the pandemic.
I am a Clinical Director in charge of community adult medical services, covering the vast majority of the county of Sussex. I have previously held local senior managerial positions as senior doctor in my hospital and also the local Borough.
I have extensive academic research and teaching experience in asthma and allergy. I trains medical students as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at St Georges Medical School, the University of London, and Brighton and Sussex Medical School. I have also worked as Adviser to the British Thoracic Society and have been instrumental in developing and advising on national treatment guidelines for COPD.
I continue to work as expert Honorary Consultant at one of the world’s leading heart and lungs centres and undoubtedly Britain’s most famous lung hospital - the Royal Brompton Hospital in London.
Having lived in many countries, I have experienced medical practice in Poland and Germany and speak fluent German, Polish and am comfortable in Russian.
Consultations can be both face-to-face in state of the art hospital facility in Brighton or per video from the comfort of your own home - anywhere in the world.
Personal profile
In my spare time I am a keen gardener (not necessarily successful) and a Disney-themed playmate with my two small children.
