Professional Profile
Dr Kelsey Jordan is a Consultant in Rheumatology and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Having graduated from Leeds University in 1993, Dr Jordan gained experience in General and HIV Medicine before taking up her Rheumatology Specialist training posts in Wessex in 1999. She completed this training in 2005 and commenced her NHS Consultant posts locally in Brighton and Haywards Heath.
She runs the Early Inflammatory Arthritis clinic in Brighton for early assessment and treatment of patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis and other inflammatory arthritis conditions and runs the Paediatric and Adolescent Rheumatology Service at RACH.
She was Research Fellow for the European Rheumatology Society in 2001, updating the guidelines for management of knee osteoarthritis and completed her clinical research into knee osteoarthritis at the Medical Research Council in Southampton in 2003.
She is main author of the BSR Guidelines on Gout Management and ARMA Standards of Care.
Dr Jordan maintains a keen interest in improving the care and treatment for patients suffering from gout.
