Today The Montefiore Hospital turns 9 years old. 

Lynnette Awdry, Director of Clinical Services, who has been with us since the very beginning, had an inspirational message for the whole team:

"Well, what a 9 years it has been! We opened our doors to the first patient in 2012 and we have grown over the years to a team of over 200 staff with an average treating 550 patients with an expectation of that number to 600 in 2022!

Hospitals are complicated, it takes many skills and disciplines to ensure patients are kept safe. From our excellent housekeepers, creative chefs and hosts, experienced and varied clinical teams and all the administrators and managers that keep the wheels turning. Many of the original staff remain with us today, some in the same roles, as myself, and many others that have moved to senior positions as our Support Services Manager and Administration Supervisor. Some have flown the nest, some have left just to return with even greater skills, and they are just starting their careers such as of 3 student nurses.

The Montefiore is all about the patients that come through the doors and the staff that enables us to deliver the care, a philosophy that has shaped and will continue many years to come.
