Professional Profile

Mr Davies-Husband graduated from University College London in 2006 and completed his specialist training at Addenbrookes Hospital as part of the East of England deanery, comprising Cambridge, Norwich and North Thames Hospitals. He has undertaken two higher surgical oncology fellowships, firstly by competitive national appointment to the UK Training Interface Group fellowship in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he developed comprehensive skills in head and neck oncological, thyroid and trans-oral surgery. He was subsequently appointed to the Charing Cross/Royal Marsden Hospital advanced surgical fellowship, subspecialising in craniofacial and skull base surgery for malignant tumours of the brain and paranasal sinuses. Mr Davies-Husband currently holds a substantive post at Royal Sussex County Hospital and Queen Victoria Hospital Head and Neck Unit, East Grinstead, since 2017. He currently holds positions in the head and neck oncology, thyroid, pituitary and skull base multidisciplinary teams.

Mr Davies-Husband has subspecialty interests in both trans-oral endoscopic, craniofacial and anterior skull base surgery. His research interests focus on the processes of care, reduction of treatment side effects, decision making and functional outcomes in head and neck oncology, particularly in the context of minimally invasive endoscopic techniques for diagnosing and treating tumours of the upper aerodigestive tract. Mr Davies-Husband specialises in all forms of malignant and benign head and neck surgery, sinus surgery, in addition to general/paediatric ENT conditions. He is currently Assistant Editor for the Journal of Clinical Otolaryngology.
