Professional Profile
Ms Lisa Tourret is a Consultant Hand and Upper Limb Surgeon, based at the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust. She sees and treats all aspects of musculo-skeletal conditions affecting the hands, wrists, and elbows, whether inflammatory, wear-and-tear arthritis or sports injury related.
Ms Tourret qualified in 1991 and successfully completed her higher surgical training in the North East of England, subsequently undertaking fellowship posts in New Zealand, specialising in shoulder/elbow and wrist/hand surgery, before becoming a Consultant at Sunderland Royal Hospital in 2006.
Ms Lisa Tourret has a continued interest in undergraduate education and during her appointment as a Consultant in the North-East she accepted a post as Associate Lecturer at Newcastle University Medical School.
Originating from the South East, she has been fortunate enough to relocate to Sussex and use her previous experience to establish a regional hand service for the Brighton and Sussex area, whilst continuing to contribute to postgraduate and undergraduate medical training.
Ms Tourret has over 6 years’ experience as a Consultant and previously established a successful and thriving private practice, based at Spire Washington Hospital.
She offers one-to-one consultations and elective treatments and surgeries for all aspects of upper limb conditions and injuries.

As a keen sports competitor, Ms Lisa Tourret understands the importance of physical wellbeing to achieve a healthy work/life balance.
Her interests include long-distance running, cycling, cross-training, as well as hiking and camping.
Ms Lisa Tourret continues to raise money for charity, competing in half and full marathons, finding that events are a great motivator.
She has travelled extensively around the world; although equally enjoys exploring closer to home and spending time with family and friends.
